, (KJV)The Political Views Of Skyline Baptist Church
An Autonomous Baptist Church
By Pastor Richard Bell
Introduction:
Over the last seventy years, the people of this country has degraded from the love that it had for this nation., to a I don't care attitude of what this nation has become.
We've been seeing that some folks have not stood up for what is morally right from the Christian values that this country was founded on.
We see moral standards have degraded from what they should be to what they shouldn't be. This is seen by the way people have been voting on moral and Constitutional issues over the last three decades.
There have been arguments over the Constitution as a whole and some of the Amendments and Bill Of rights.
A lot of churches in this nation have not done their job in preaching and teaching the truths of the Bible in accordance to the Constitution.
So, I wanted to tell about what this church believes in and practices when it comes to the Constitution and moral values.
A Personal Note
But first I want to tell you a little about myself.
When I turned 18, I immediately volunteered for the draft and was drafted right out of High school. I spent three years in the U.S. Army, which took me to Italy and Vietnam.
It taught me how to love this country and the freedoms that it gives, and what it is supposed to mean to this nation.
I was very proud to serve and fight for the very freedoms that we have today.
I praise God that I was born in the United States, Dayton, Ohio. And when asked if I had it to do over again, would I have joined the service the way I did, My answer is definitely yes. I love this country. As matter of fact the instant I got off the plane coming back from Vietnam, in the state Washington, I bent down and kissed the ground of this great nation. What I say to folks that don't like or even hate this country, even with the freedoms and the blessings it has to offer,.."If you don't love it here, Get out."
What We Adhere To As A Church
We follow the Constitution of the United States and all that is involved , The second Amendment, the freedom to bear arms where this government has no right to take that away. That we have the right to carry guns, and all sorts of arms.
With that in mind, Skyline Baptist Church is not a "Gun Free Zone." Some carry guns to the church.
The Bill Of Rights, including free of speech, where we can speak up for what's right with no fear, and say what we believe that is addressed in the Constitution.
We believe in the Freedom of religion That is stated in the Constitution..
That means we can preach and teach the Bible, (KJV) and tell people that Jesus saves, how he loves you and me, how he died on the cross for the sins of the world, without fear of getting shut down by the government.
That means we talk about politics in our classes and church services.
We believe there is what is called the "Deep State," which is trying to destroy this country, take way its freedoms, especially taking away our guns and arms.
We believe that the border should be closed and that folks that want to come here can do it legally, and all that goes with it.
So, in general, we are a KJV Bible believing, gun carrying folks that sticks to the conservative values,
